Total Time:25 minutes
Yield:2 servings
Ingredients
For the Salmon
2 fillets Salmon (can substitute with halibut or trout)
1 tablespoon Olive Oil or avocado oil for high-heat
1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic for extra flavor
1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika (regular paprika works as a substitute)
Salt & Black Pepper to taste
For the Bang Bang Sauce
1/2 cup Mayonnaise or Greek yogurt for a lighter option
1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce balances sweetness and heat
1-2 tablespoons Sriracha (adjust based on heat tolerance)
1 tablespoon Honey or Maple Syrup (optional for added sweetness)
1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar or Lime Juice (lemon juice as a substitute)
For Garnishing
2 tablespoons Chopped Green Onions or cilantro if desired
1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds (optional for crunch)
Instructions
Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive or avocado oil, then season evenly with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste.
Cook the Salmon: Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin is on), cooking for about 4-5 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
Make the Bang Bang Sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey or maple syrup (if using), and rice vinegar or lime juice. Mix well until smooth and creamy. Adjust the sriracha amount to preference for desired spice level.
Plate and Garnish: Place the cooked salmon on serving plates. Drizzle generously with the Bang Bang sauce. Sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top for added flavor and crunch.
Serve Immediately: Serve the Bang Bang Salmon hot with your choice of side dishes, such as steamed rice, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.
Notes
For a lighter sauce, substitute mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
Adjust the sriracha quantity based on your spice tolerance.
Use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder for a more intense garlic flavor.
Substitute salmon with halibut or trout as preferred.
Serve with steamed rice or greens for a complete meal.
