A simple and elegant recipe for lobster tails baked with a flavorful garlic butter sauce, enhanced with lemon juice and fresh parsley, perfect for a special dinner or celebration.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

Lobster Tails

  • 2 lobster tails

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lobster Tails: Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Use kitchen scissors to carefully cut the top of each lobster shell lengthwise, stopping just before the tail. Gently pull the lobster meat out and lay it on top of the shell for even cooking and presentation.
  2. Make the Garlic Butter: In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté gently for 1 to 2 minutes, until the garlic becomes fragrant but does not brown. Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Bake the Lobster: Arrange the prepared lobster tails on a baking sheet. Brush each generously with the garlic butter mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the lobster meat turns opaque and is fully cooked through.
  4. Serve: Remove the lobster from the oven and drizzle any remaining garlic butter over the tails. Serve immediately with lemon wedges and optional sides such as asparagus or rice for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Be careful not to overcook the lobster as it can become tough and rubbery.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor impact in the garlic butter sauce.
  • Parsley can be substituted with other fresh herbs like chives or dill for a different flavor profile.
  • For added presentation, garnish with a sprinkle of paprika or additional parsley before serving.
