Total Time:25 minutes
Yield:4 servings
Ingredients
Mocktail
1 cup cherry juice (preferably unsweetened)
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup lavender-infused simple syrup
1 cup sparkling water
Fresh cherries for garnish
Edible flowers for garnish (optional)
Ice cubes
Lavender-Infused Simple Syrup
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender
Instructions
Make the lavender-infused simple syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, and 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender. Heat until the sugar dissolves completely, then remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes. Strain out the lavender and allow the syrup to cool before using.
Mix the mocktail base: In a pitcher, combine 1 cup cherry juice, 1/2 cup lemon juice, and 1/2 cup of the cooled lavender-infused simple syrup. Stir well to blend all the flavors evenly.
Prepare the glasses: Fill each glass with ice cubes to chill the drink thoroughly.
Assemble the mocktail: Pour the cherry and lemon mixture over the ice-filled glasses, then top each with sparkling water to add a refreshing fizz.
Garnish and serve: Add fresh cherries and edible flowers to each glass for an elegant presentation. Serve the Cherry Blossom Mocktail chilled and enjoy!
Notes
Use unsweetened cherry juice to balance the sweetness of the syrup.
Lavender can be substituted with other culinary herbs like rosemary for a different twist.
Sparkling water can be replaced with club soda if preferred.
If edible flowers are unavailable, mint leaves make a nice garnish.
Prepare the lavender syrup in advance and store it refrigerated for up to one week.
